Overlaying them shows that Company X does something that Company Y does not
Now take a Map of Company X
And a Map of Company Y
Then overlay them
Take a look at user needs
B is a differential that only company Y has
We also have three areas of efficiency between the two companies
And two potential areas for shared services
The box and wire diagram didn't tell you anything about efficiencies, shared services or what B was
The easier way to do difficult things
